I've heard the joke that the only difference between a love song and a Christian contemporary song is that instead of "baby" they change the word to "Jesus". Well it works the other way too.
I've never had someone to put on the other end of all the love songs I hear on the radio. So I've started imagining God singing them to me or me singing them to God.
But not the gross ones with sexual innuendos.

Ahaha, I totally do that. Like Missy Higgins' "Ten Days," it's about a breakup but "tell me did you really think I was gone when you couldn't see me anymore" sounds a lot like God to me.
