Well...

So I guess it's been a while since I've been in Livermore. I've been putting off writing an update, waiting for something to start happening. Well I guess it is about time for me to settle into this and accept that this is how life is and could very well stay this way for a while.

I am still unemployed but I am getting my observation hours I need to apply to physical therapy school done. I went to a clinic yesterday for the first time and got 6 hours done there. High lights included talking with an older lady who had a stroke in January that left her arm paralyzed. Since then she's been working on getting movement back slowly but surely and was very excited to tell me about her successes. I also got to closely follow one physical therapist for a little who had a very sarcastic personality (which I loved). While working with a middle school girl, he made everything into a competition between the two of them and really got her excited about her therapy. Low lights were just the awkwardness of sitting around watching and not really knowing what I was doing. For the most part I was by myself just watching on the side and wasn't really told what to do until one of the PTs let me follow along more closely.

Today I went to another clinic and had a meeting with the owner. He was more organized than the last place or at least more into planning which as you guessed it, I loved. So, I'm gonna go there for 4 hours each Tuesday and Thursday to get my 100 hours of observation.

My dog just farted and a cat upstairs just sneezed.

I'm still looking for a job. It's not vital to my existence right now so I'm still waiting to find a job that I won't hate. I've got a little more time to be picky. What would be best would be to find a PT clinic where I can get a job as a PT aide. That way I could get hours and get paid, and do something I'm interested in. I haven't found anywhere looking for one yet, but I'm thinking of making a cute/clever letter to send to PT clinics asking if they need an aide. I'm thinking a play on Band-aid but rather PT-aide.

So that's life.
